Production and material
Our jewellery is made by carefully selected partners from different parts of the world. Creating high-quality jewellery requires craftmanship and every piece is made with care. Soldering, grinding, paving and polishing are therefore made by hand for each individual item.
Sustainable production is as important to us as our choice of material. Therefore we strive to keep good communication and cooperation with our partners. Together we work towards an increased amount of recycled material in the new jewellery we produce.
SAFIRA jewellery is always marked with control stamps as proof of authenticity. SAFIRA follows all regulations from SWEDAC - Sweden's national accreditation body when it comes to controlling and marking objects of precious metals.
All of our jewellery is made from 925 Sterling Silver and are control stamped as proof of authenticity. As of today, 44% of existing jewellery in stock and 65% of everything that's being produced are made from recycled silver. Read more here about how we work with sustainability.
Silver is oxidized naturally and can therefore look darker with time. You can read more about how to care for your jewellery here.
18-24 K GOLD PLATING
All of our gold jewellery has a core of 925 Sterling Silver, plated with a generous layer of 18-24 carats of pure gold. Read more here about how you best care for your gold plated jewellery and how to make them look as good as possible.
The majority of all pearls used in SAFIRA jewellery are cultured freshwater pearls. These are grown biologically which means that each can vary in size, shape and shade of colour. That way, every piece of jewellery made with freshwater pearl is one of a kind.
If a piece of jewellery should be made with synthetic pearls, this is written in the product description.
We make our jewellery using gemstones like moonstone, quartz, citrine and agate. The gemstone is always in the product description so you know what adorns your jewellery.
Cubic zirconia is a synthetic gem that can be made in many different colours and shapes. You'll find it in the jewellery designs where we want the gem to sparkle a little extra!
